Akintoye Babalola is the current Assistant General Manager & Treasurer at Fidelity Bank. Akintoye has over twenty years of experience in the banking industry, with a focus on asset trading and local currency dealing.

Babalola began their career in 1995 as a team member in the financial control and general account department of Magnet Savings and Loans Limited. Akintoye then moved to FBN (Merchant Bankers) Limited in 1996, where they spent nine years as the head of FX and local currency trading. In 2006, they joined First Bank Nigeria as the head of asset trading and local currency dealing, where they remained until August of that year.

Since 2006, Babalola has been with Fidelity Bank, where they have held various positions including Assistant General Manager & Treasurer. In this role, they are responsible for managing the bank's treasury operations, as well as overseeing the bank's financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Akintoye Babalola has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Finance from Alliance Manchester Business School, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Finance & Banking from University of Lagos, and a Bachelor's degree in Finance & Banking from University of Lagos. Akintoye is also an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate Chartered Institute of Taxation (ACIT) 2016 from The Chartered Institute of Taxation.
