Paul Campanotti

Paul Campanotti has diverse work experience in the field of data architecture and database management. Paul started their career as a Database Consultant at Toronto District School Board and later worked as an Application Consultant at Nortel. Paul then joined Masstech Group Inc. as a Database Consultant and Ontario Medical Association as an Application Consultant.

Paul's responsibilities ranged from gathering business requirements, designing logical data models, implementing systems, and providing support and analysis. Paul demonstrated expertise in working with various databases and technologies such as Oracle, Sybase, and Pro*C.

Paul then worked at ESI Canada as a Database Designer and later as a Team Leader, where they were involved in the successful planning and development of a custom-designed adjudication system for insurance claims.

Paul also held the position of Database Specialist at Research In Motion, where they provisioned one of the company's largest infrastructure systems and implemented best practices for database management.

Paul continued their career at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services as a Data Engineer IV, focusing on improving and administering financial and document management databases for the Ontario Pension Board.

Prior to their current role as a Principal Data Architect at Fidelity Canada, Paul worked as a Senior Database Analyst at Citi and a Senior Database Specialist at BMO Financial Group.

Throughout their career, Paul has gained a strong skill set in data architecture, database administration, system development, and team leadership.

Paul Campanotti earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from York University, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including the Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional and the Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate from Oracle in 2014. Paul also earned the Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate certification from Oracle in 2014, as well as the Cloudera Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH) certification from Cloudera in 2012.
