Aaron Townsend has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Aaron'smost recent role was as the Director of Agile Delivery Enablement at Fidelity Charitable, where they started in 2023. Prior to that, from 2022 to 2023, they worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Scrum Master/Team Coach, leading and delivering Joint Longitudinal Viewer solutions for the VA.

Before joining Booz Allen Hamilton, they were a Digital Services Design Educator at CivicActions from 2020 to 2022, where they provided instructional design support and maintained program requirements for DITAP.

Aaron also has extensive military experience, having served in the US Army. From 2018 to 2020, they were an Adjunct Professor and Senior Military Science Instructor. Prior to that, they held roles as Senior Manager, Operations Manager, Team Manager, and PATRIOT Engagement Control Team Leader, gaining expertise in various technical systems and commanding units. From 1998 to 2000, they attended Western Maryland College, where they pursued a degree in Biology, General.

Throughout their career, Aaron has also pursued multiple professional certifications. In 2020, they obtained the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance, followed by the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2020. In 2021, they achieved the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance.

In recent years, Aaron has focused on expanding their knowledge and expertise in agile and lean methodologies. In 2022, they obtained the Certified SAFe® 5 Advanced Scrum Master certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. Aaron continued to enhance their skills in 2023 by obtaining the Certified SAFe® 6 Lean Portfolio Manager and Certified SAFe® 6 Advanced Scrum Master certifications, both from Scaled Agile, Inc.

In addition to their degree and certifications, Aaron has also attended various courses and training programs throughout their career. Notable among them are the Air Defense Artillery Senior Leader Course in 2009, the Excelsior University where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from 2017 to 2018, and the American Military University where they earned a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from 2013 to 2015.
