Álvaro Lima

Álvaro Lima has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Álvaro started their career at Motorola in 2001 as a Systems/Network Administrator and worked there until 2003. Álvaro then joined ALERT Life Sciences Computing, S.A. as an Oracle DBA and later transitioned into the role of a Software Web Developer/Analyst. Álvaro worked at ALERT Life Sciences Computing, S.A. for a total of six years. In 2012, they joined Brandtone Limited as a Senior Oracle DBA, and after a year, they moved on to work at MasterCard as an Oracle Consultant. At MasterCard, Álvaro also took on the responsibilities of a Senior Oracle DBA and Data Engineer. Álvaro worked at MasterCard for nearly five years before joining Fidelity International in 2018, where they hold the position of Principal Oracle Engineer and Technical Manager.

Álvaro Lima holds a Master's Degree in Multimedia from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, which they obtained from 2007 to 2008. Before that, they completed an Engineer's Degree in Information Technology and Services at the same institution from 1999 to 2006. Álvaro also has additional certifications, including the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations 2020 Certified Associate from Oracle, obtained in January 2020, and the CCNA Routing and Switching certification from Cisco, obtained in 2008.
