Joe Powell

Joe Powell serves as the Managing Underwriting Counsel for National Commercial Services Southeast at Fidelity National Financial, leading a team of attorneys in assessing risks and determining title insurance coverage for major corporate real estate clients across the country. Joe also provides underwriting counsel in Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas for multiple title insurance agents. Additionally, Joe holds a position as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Texas A&M University School of Law, teaching a master's level course on Commercial Real Estate Transactions & Development. Joe's legal career began with experience in private practice and public service as a City Council Member in Tuscaloosa, AL, and includes founding a title company. Educational achievements include a Master of Laws in Risk Management and a Juris Doctor degree from prominent universities.
