Chief Investment Officer, International, Emerging Market Equity at Fidelity

Joe Desantis is the current Chief Investment Officer for International and Emerging Market Equity at Fidelity. Joe has over 18 years of experience in the investment industry.

Joe started their career in 2000 as the Head of Equities at Scudder Investments. In late 2001, Scudder was purchased by Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM) and Joe became the Head of Active Equities for the Americas. In 2005, Joe left DeAM to become the Chief Investment Officer for Fundamental Equities at Evergreen Investments. In 2009, Joe became the Chief Investment Officer/Head of Equities at an investment management firm. In 2010, they joined Fidelity as the Chief Investment Officer for International and Emerging Market Equity.

Joe Desantis earned their BA in Economics from the University of Cincinnati. Joe then went on to work in finance for a number of years before returning to school to earn their MBA.
