Ajith Samaratunga

Ajith Samaratunga has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ajith currently holds the position of Head of Academy at Fidenz Technologies since December 2022. Prior to this, Ajith was a Co-Founder at Zeno Innovations (Pvt) Ltd starting from October 2018.

Before entering the technology industry, Ajith worked in the education sector. Ajith served as the Manager of IT Training & Business Development at the Mercury Institute of Management from September 2015 to September 2017. Prior to that, they were the Manager of IT Training at Chartered Accountants (CA) Sri Lanka from August 2012 to September 2015.

Earlier in their career, they held managerial roles in business development at the Human Resource Management Institute from January 2012 to October 2012 and as an Assistant General Manager at Gnosis Institute of Academic Excellence from October 2011 to February 2012.

Ajith's experience also includes working as a Course Director at the Imperial Institute of Higher Education from February 2010 to November 2011, where they played a significant role in the establishment and development of the institution.

Prior to this, they worked as a General Manager at AG School of Business and Computer Studies from August 2003 to January 2010, where they were responsible for lecturing and managing operational activities. Ajith also worked as a Course Director in Information Technology at the International College of Business and Technology - ICBT from October 2000 to July 2003, primarily focusing on the setup and coordination of academic activities.

Before entering the education sector, Ajith worked as an Analyst Programmer at Computer Link from August 1998 to December 1999.

Ajith Samaratunga completed their primary and secondary school education at St. Peter's College from 1984 to 1992. Ajith then pursued a Diploma in Computer Systems at the National Institute of Business Management from 1996 to 1997. In 1997, they enrolled at the University of GuildHall and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in ICT, which spanned from 1997 to 2000. Most recently, Ajith attended the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) from 2017 to 2018, where they earned their Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
