Austin J. Mautz

Austin J. Mautz is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Fiduciary Real Estate Development, Inc. (“FRED”). Austin has been with FRED since 2017, and oversees all aspects of the finance, accounting, and capital markets functions of the company and its subsidiaries, including sourcing and structuring acquisition and development financing, ongoing asset management, as well as investor relations and reporting.

Prior to joining Fiduciary, Austin was a Director and Senior Vice President of Commercial Real Estate at BMO Harris Bank. Throughout his 17 year career at BMO Financial Group, he was involved in hundreds of transactions involving acquisition and development financing primarily related to Multifamily, For-Sale Residential, and Mixed-Use properties.

Austin holds an undergraduate business degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (BBA 2000), and a Master’s in Business Administration from Marquette University (MBA 2013) in Milwaukee, WI.

He is currently a full member of the Urban Land Institute (“ULI”), having participated in the ULI-NEXT Global Council, as well as the ULI Chicago District Product Council on Urban Development and Mixed-Use Development. He is an active member of the Board of Advisors at the Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the UW-Madison School of Business, a member of the Wisconsin Board of Directors of CommonBond Communities, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum.
