Gabriel Y. is an accomplished Geospatial Analyst and Cartographer with extensive experience in GIS and data management, currently working with The Field Museum on the Andes Amazon Team since February 2022. In this role, Gabriel Y. has led the development of mapping applications for conservation efforts in the Andes Amazon region. Prior to this, experience includes positions at Chemonics International, where management of GIS software and geospatial databases was key, and Amazon Conservation Association, focusing on real-time deforestation monitoring. Gabriel Y. has also contributed as a consultant for various organizations, building web applications, revising reports, and conducting complex data analyses. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science, both from Clark University.
