Ryan Clark

Associate Tutor at Field Studies Council

Ryan Clark is an experienced ecologist with a focus on monitoring and researching priority moth and butterfly species, currently serving as an Ecologist for Butterfly Conservation in Northern England since January 2023. In addition, Ryan has been an Associate Tutor for the Field Studies Council since March 2020, specializing in solitary bee and bumblebee workshops. Previous roles include an Ecologist for the Cumbria Wildlife Trust, managing ecological restoration for pollinator sites, and a Monitoring and Research Officer for The Wildlife Trust Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, where Ryan led the local State of Nature Report. Early career experiences include coordinating a National Lottery Heritage Fund project at Northamptonshire Biodiversity Records Centre and working as a Natural Talent Trainee at The Conservation Volunteers. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with an Environmental stream from the University of Reading.
