Heimo Schirgi

Heimo Schirgi is an experienced professional in event management and operations, currently serving as COO World Cup at FIFA since April 2017. Previously, Heimo held the role of Senior Vice-President Special Projects at DO&CO, focusing on design, retail development, and hospitality. Prior to this, Heimo was Head of EURO Operations at UEFA, overseeing various aspects of event management for the EURO tournaments. Heimo's career also includes a position as TV & Media Manager for EURO 2008 SA, where responsibilities encompassed media and venue management. Heimo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Graz, furthering education at Deutsche Schule Johannesburg and German School Istanbul.
