Jim Kinnell

Jim Kinnell is an experienced business development professional with a solid background in engineering and education. Currently serving as Business Development Manager at Fife College since June 2018, Jim oversees a diverse portfolio that includes electrical engineering and energy efficiency projects while driving initiatives like the training of gas engineers for green hydrogen appliances. As a Board Advisor for the Small Enterprise Supplier Development Corporation since September 2024, Jim contributes to workforce skills development in Tanzania. Previous roles include Business Development Manager positions at The Engineering College, Sales Manager at Baker Hughes, International Apprenticeship Manager and Head of Apprenticeships at ECITB, and various educational roles including Lecturer at Lauder College and Training Officer at Babcock Rosyth Training. Jim holds a BA in Business Management from Abertay University and a Teaching Qualification from the University of Dundee.
