Philipp Essle

Philipp Essle is an experienced professional in the blockchain and engineering sectors. Currently serving as an Associate at Blockchain Coinvestors and Fifth Era since February 2023, Philipp focuses on investments in blockchain businesses. Prior to this role, Philipp was an Independent Blockchain Researcher from September 2020 to January 2023, providing strategic insights for DeFi platforms. As Co-Founder and Technical Manager of Project Talaria from October 2017 to August 2020, Philipp led a team in developing a vertical take-off and landing device. Additional experience includes serving as Project Manager at AeroDelft and Technical Manager at WASUB, where Philipp oversaw project organization and team coordination. Philipp's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Applied Earth Sciences from Delft University of Technology and a Master’s in Business Analytics and Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
