Michael Rose

Michael Rose is an accomplished robotics professional with extensive experience in developing advanced robotic systems. Currently serving as the Director of Robot Controls at Figure since July 2022, Michael leads efforts in creating humanoid robots designed to address labor shortages. Prior roles include Lead Robotics Engineer at ARRIVAL, where Michael guided a team to develop factory automation solutions, and Senior Controls Engineer at Apple, focusing on autonomous systems. Michael's foundational experience includes significant contributions at Boston Dynamics, Google, and Virginia Tech, where Michael managed teams and conducted research on various aspects of robotics, including mobility, path planning, and dynamic modeling. Michael holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, alongside a Flying Car Nanodegree from Udacity.
