Lesli Klainberg

Lesli Klainberg has a diverse and extensive work experience in the film industry. Lesli is currently the President at Film at Lincoln Center, where they lead all strategic, financial, management, and operational aspects of the organization. Lesli serves as the Chief Spokesperson for FLC and supports the work of film programmers and FLC's film festivals, series, talks, and educational programs.

Before their current role, Klainberg held the position of Executive Director at Film at Lincoln Center from 2014 to 2022, where they provided coordination for the senior management team and developed internal processes and infrastructure. Lesli also served as the Managing Director from 2012 to 2013 and played a key role in updating the New York Film Festival.

Klainberg has also worked at Purchase College, SUNY, as an Adjunct Lecturer starting in 2023. Lesli taught courses at The New School as an Instructor in Directing Documentary in 2013. Additionally, they worked at Participant Media as a Line Producer for the feature-length documentary "A PLACE AT THE TABLE" from 2011 to 2013.

Earlier in their career, Klainberg was involved with various organizations such as Orchard Films, NewFest, IFP, Sundance Institute, Disney ABC Television Group, and US Comedy Arts Festival, taking on different roles in production, programming, and leadership.

Lesli Klainberg's education history includes a BFA in Film Conservatory from Purchase College, SUNY, which they obtained from 1981 to 1985. Prior to that, they attended Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music & Art from 1977 to 1981, where they focused on Vocal Music. Additionally, Lesli Klainberg obtained a Certificate in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Columbia Business School in 2016. Lesli also attended the High School of Music and Art from 1977 to 1981, where they pursued a degree in Vocal Music.

In terms of additional certifications, Lesli Klainberg obtained "Developing and Leading High-Performance Teams" and "Effective Leadership: People, Teams, and Culture" certifications from Columbia Business School in March 2021 and October 2020, respectively.
