April Whisenand

April Whisenand is an experienced cataloging librarian currently serving at the City of Mountain View since May 2024 and at the Filoli Center since January 2017. With a strong background in database management, April oversees the accuracy of library MARC records and performs original cataloging while collaborating with vendors to enhance online catalog access. Previous roles include Cataloging Librarian II at the City of Mountain View and Online Services Supervisor at Carroll County Public Library, where April led projects, supervised teams, and developed collection metrics and reports. April holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media and Film from Towson University.
