Shigeru Furukubo

Shigeru Furukubo started their work experience in 1993 at Tanabe Seiyaku Corporation as a Clinical Development Monitor and later became a Research Scientist/Senior Research Scientist. In 2007, they joined Tanabe Research Laboratories U.S.A, Inc. as an Associate Project Manager. In 2010, they moved to Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation where they held various roles, including Senior Research Scientist, Manager of Medicinal Chemistry Laboratories, Group Manager of Research Unit/ Frontier Therapeutic Science, Group Manager of Research Unit/Immunology and Inflammation, and Associate Director of Research Unit/Immunology and Inflammation. Finally, in 2022, they joined FIMECS, Inc. as a Principal Scientist.

Shigeru Furukubo attended Nagoya City University from 1987 to 1993, where they pursued a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Science and Organic Chemistry. Following this, they went on to study at Nagasaki University from 2002 to 2005, obtaining a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science and Organic Chemistry.
