Simbarashe MacHanzi

Simbarashe Machanzi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and positions. Simbarashe most recently served as the Group CTO at Fin starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Ecocash Holdings as the General Manager - Software Engineering from June 2021 to January 2023.

Simbarashe also held various roles within Escrow Systems and Escrow Group, including Managing Director and Group IT Executive from May 2018 to June 2021, and Group Executive Director - Technology from August 2016 to June 2021 at Escrow Group (EFS).

Before that, they served as the Acting Managing Director at Escrow Systems (PVT) LTD from December 2017 to April 2018 and as the General Manager at Escrow Systems from August 2014 to July 2016.

Simbarashe gained experience in the banking sector as the Senior Manager ICT Operations and Infrastructure at MetBank Limited from August 2012 to August 2014 and as the Information Technology Manager at Metropolitan Bank of Zimbabwe Limited from January 2011 to July 2012.

Simbarashe'searlier positions include Systems Analyst at Genesis Investment Bank from 2007 to 2008 and Software Development and Support Manager at Classic Software from 2005 to 2007.

Throughout their career, Simbarashe has demonstrated expertise in software engineering, technology leadership, project management, systems development, and team management.

Simbarashe Machanzi obtained a Bsc (Hons) degree in Computer Science from the University of Zimbabwe from 2001 to 2004. In 2011, they also received a Project Management Certificate in Project Management from PMIZ. Simbarashe also holds additional certifications in Postilion Basic Payments from Dell PowerEdge Maintenance.
