Rebecca Engebretsen

Rebecca Engebretsen, PhD, serves as a Policy Analyst at the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) since November 2022, focusing on combating money laundering and terrorist financing. Prior to this role, Engebretsen worked as a Policy Analyst at the OECD on illicit financial flows from September 2019 to November 2022, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich, managing a multinational research team from January 2018 to October 2019. Professional experience also includes contributions to political risk analysis at Oxford Analytica and academic instruction at the University of Oxford. Engebretsen has undertaken research consultancy with the Natural Resource Governance Institute and coordinated oil development programs for Norad in Mozambique and Tanzania. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Political Economy from the University of Oxford, and master's degrees from King's College London and the University of Oslo, among others.
