Amy Sood

Amy Sood is a seasoned journalist with experience primarily focused on reporting in the Asia-Pacific region. Currently serving as a Reporter for Ignites Asia at the Financial Times since July 2025, Amy previously worked as an Asia Reporter for the South China Morning Post from September 2022 to June 2025. Earlier roles include a Digital Verification Reporter at AFP, where research centered on misinformation trends in Indonesia and India, and a Digital Producer for CNN, responsible for news stories from the APAC region. Additional experience encompasses positions at NBC News and various internships in digital verification, video production, and content marketing. Amy holds a Master's degree in Journalism from The University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies and English from the University of Canterbury.
