Brooke Masters is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in financial reporting, currently serving as the US Financial Editor at the Financial Times since October 2006. In this role, Brooke leads the reporting team covering US financial services and writes a business column for the opinion section. Previous positions at the Financial Times include Chief Business Commentator, Opinion and Analysis Editor, Companies Editor, Chief Regulation Correspondent, City Correspondent, and Senior Business Correspondent. Prior to joining the Financial Times, Brooke was a staff writer at The Washington Post from June 1989 to September 2006. Academically, Brooke holds a Master of Science in Economic History from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Harvard University, alongside an education at Phillips Exeter Academy and The Brearley School.
