Elliot Smither

Elliot Smither is an experienced production manager and chief sub editor currently leading the production team for various publications at Financial Times since February 2008, including The Banker, fDi, Professional Wealth Management, and Banking Risk & Regulation. Prior roles include online sub editor for The Banker and fDi, deputy production editor for Global Risk Regulator, as well as chief sub editor and senior writer for Professional Wealth Management, chief sub editor for This is Africa, and chief sub editor for FT Mandate. Prior to Financial Times, Elliot served as assistant production editor at Telegraph Media Group from December 2000 to February 2008. Elliot holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Exeter, completed from 1997 to 2000, and attended Brighton College from 1991 to 1996.
