Jamie Smyth

Jamie Smyth is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience spanning over two decades, currently serving as the US Energy Editor at the Financial Times since August 2011, alongside roles as the US Pharmaceutical Correspondent and Australia and Pacific Islands Correspondent. Prior to this, Jamie held positions at The Irish Times from 1999 to 2011, including Social Affairs Correspondent and European Correspondent, along with earlier roles as a Technology and Business Reporter. Educationally, Jamie obtained a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Dublin City University and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Trinity College Dublin.
