Madhumita Murgia

Madhumita Murgia serves as the Artificial Intelligence Editor and European Technology Correspondent at the Financial Times since August 2016, focusing on artificial intelligence, data privacy, technology regulation, and emerging technologies. Previously, Madhumita held the position of 2017 Laurence Stern Fellow at The Washington Post, reporting on various health and technology issues across the United States. Madhumita also worked as Head of Technology at Telegraph Media Group, overseeing global technology coverage and authoring a weekly column. Prior experience includes roles at WIRED UK as Associate Editor and Assistant Editor, a News Intern at Nature Medicine, and editorial internships at Popular Science and Wired Magazine. Academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Clinical Immunology from the University of Oxford and a Master's Degree in Science, Health and Environmental Journalism from New York University, along with a BA (Hons) in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford.
