Stefania Palma

US Legal & Enforcement Correspondent at Financial Times

Stefania Palma is currently serving as the US legal and enforcement correspondent for the Financial Times, a position held since August 2014, where responsibilities include coverage of legal matters involving the Supreme Court, the Department of Justice, and various corporate regulators. Prior to this role, Stefania was the Singapore correspondent, reporting on events in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Previous experience includes serving as Asia editor at The Banker magazine and senior reporter at GlobalCapital, focusing on local currency bond markets and non-US dollar bond market developments during the Eurozone sovereign crisis. Additional roles include project manager at the China-Britain Business Council, where collaboration with the Chinese embassy and the UK government took place, and a foreign desk researcher at The Times. Stefania holds an MPhil in Modern Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford, has participated in the Oxford & Cambridge Exchange Programme at Peking University, and earned a BSc in Economics with Mandarin from SOAS University of London.
