Francesco Rota, PhD is currently working as a Maritime IoT Product and Business Development Manager at WSENSE, where Francesco creates business development strategies to scale up blue deep-tech IoT technologies in the maritime and naval sector. Prior to this, Francesco held roles such as Corporate Business Development - Smart City & IoT Manager at Fincantieri S.p.A, and Proactive Maintenance Business & Strategy Specialist at Astaldi. Francesco completed their PhD in Engineering and Innovation at Politecnico di Milano, focusing on a new Proactive Maintenance Approach for complex systems management. Additionally, Francesco has educational background in architecture and civil engineering from various universities.
