Bert Vanwinsen

Technology & Innovation Scouting Specialist at FINDEST

Bert Vanwinsen has had a varied and successful career. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at various companies and universities, beginning with Wageningen University & Research as a Student Research Assistant Biochemistry. Here, they researched an enzyme in Arabidopsis thaliana working with professor S. C. de Vries. Bert then moved on to become a Student Teaching Assistant Control Engineering and Biorector Design at Wageningen University & Research in 2017 and 2018 respectively. In 2018, they also took on an Industrial traineeship at CSIRO. Finally, in 2019 they joined Findest\u2122 as a Technology & Innovation Scouting Specialist and Technology Scout, where they facilitated innovation in R&D using Igor^AI by scouting for potential solutions and technologies. During this time, they worked on 100 projects industry-wide.

Bert Vanwinsen completed a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Wageningen University & Research in 2016. Bert then participated in a mobility program at ETH Zürich, earning a Bsc. Minor in Chemical and Process Engineering in the same year. Bert later returned to Wageningen University & Research and obtained a Master of Science in Biotechnology: Process Technology in 2019.
