Marina Pilz da Cunha has had a varied career, beginning in 2012 as an Intern at PETROBRAS PETROLEO BRASILEIRO SA. In 2013, they were a Research Assistant at Universidade do Porto, as well as a Private Tutor for International Baccalaureate Mathematics and Chemistry. In 2015, they completed a Master Thesis Project at Merck Group, developing smart switchable windows based on liquid crystal systems. In 2016, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). From 2017 to 2021, they were a PhD candidate at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, developing smart polymers. Currently, they are a Lead Technology and Innovation Scout and a Technology & Innovation Scout at Findest™, with a focus on accelerating clients' R&D and innovation processes.
Marina Pilz da Cunha attended United World College Maastricht from 2004 to 2011, where they completed their high school studies. Marina then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology from 2011 to 2014. In 2013, they completed a Bachelor Project at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto in the same field. Marina then returned to Eindhoven University of Technology to obtain their Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from 2014 to 2016, and eventually their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from 2017 to 2020.
