David Bhamjee

David Bhamjee serves as FinDev Canada’s Vice President and Chief Strategy & Engagement Officer, with responsibility for leading the strategy, partnerships, government relations, marketing, communications and digital enablement functions of the corporation. Taken together, these functions help with the development and execution of corporate strategy and planning, and the engagement with key stakeholders on the role and impact that FinDev Canada has in support of Canada’s development objectives.

Mr. Bhamjee joined FinDev Canada from Export Development Canada (EDC), where he enjoyed a 21-year career serving in a range of senior roles including VP of Public Affairs and Corporate Secretary, VP of Public Affairs and Corporate Communications, and VP of Corporate Strategy, as well as a variety of other leadership roles in business development, underwriting and corporate affairs. Prior to joining EDC, he worked in both government and the private sector in areas related to policy and public affairs. He has an Honours BA (Western) and a Master of Arts (McGill) both in History, and a Master's in Public Policy and Administration (Concordia).
