Eric Brown has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Eric is currently working as a Community Engagement Manager at findhelp since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Middle School Science Teacher at the Austin Independent School District from January 2021 to May 2022. Eric also has experience with the Peace Corps, where they served as a Teacher Trainer from January 2017 to March 2020, contributing to the development of education programs in low-income communities in Colombia. Eric additionally worked as an English Teacher at the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport from October 2015 to June 2016. Before that, Eric held positions including Senior English Teacher and Elementary School Teacher at Super English Language School and Thidamaepra School from February 2014 to February 2015, and from October 2012 to January 2014, respectively. Eric also served as a Development Associate at AmeriCorps VISTA from July 2011 to August 2012, and Substitute Teacher at Lewisville ISD from January 2011 to June 2011. Eric's earlier experiences include roles as a City Host at City Service Mission (CSM) from January 2010 to April 2010, Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries at Trinity Presbyterian Church from May 2008 to December 2009, and Director at The Venue Student Center in April 2007.
Eric Brown has a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Texas A&M University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Arizona State University in June 2020, Advanced Level Spanish from the Peace Corps in 2019, and a Texas Educator Certificate, Grades 4-8 Core from the Texas Education Agency in February 2022.
