Iban Ugarte

Iban Ugarte has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Iban is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at FINEOS since April 2022. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at Capgemini from March 2021 to April 2022.

From 2014 to 2021, Iban worked at Alboka Soft, S.L. as a Senior Software Analyst/Developer. In this role, they were the team leader and sole responsible for the lifecycle of an application for the health research institute of Alava BIOARABA. Iban developed the application in Java using the Vaadin framework and REST webservices. Iban also led Java projects using JSF, Hibernate, and Jasper Reports technologies, and was a member of SCRUM teams in multiple Java 8 and C# projects.

From 2007 to 2013, Iban worked at Bilbomatica as a Software Senior Analyst/Developer. In this role, they applied their expertise in Java to analyze and develop software solutions.

Before that, Iban worked as a Java Senior Developer at Soluziona from November 2006 to June 2007, where they focused on Java development projects.

In 2005, Iban worked at Mapfre as a Genexus Senior Developer. Iban was involved in developing the Financial system module and implementing data statistical processing improvements. Iban also created reports and dynamic menu applications from XML templates using XSLT.

From 2001 to 2005, Iban worked at LiberNet Soluciones Informáticas S.L. as a Genexus Developer, and from 2000 to 2001, they worked at Grupo de Software & Consulting S.L. in the same role.

Iban Ugarte pursued their education in computer applications and computer systems management. From 1997 to 1999, they attended IES Ciudad Jardín, where they obtained a Higher Technician degree in Computer Systems Management. During this time, their field of study focused on computer systems and networks. From 2000 to 2002, Iban attended Mondragon Unibertsitatea, where they pursued a Higher Technician degree as a Computer Applications Developer. Iban'sfield of study at this institution was computer applications.

In addition to their formal education, Iban has acquired several certifications throughout their career. In November 2015, they received the Vaadin 7 Certified Developer certification from Vaadin. In May 2017, they obtained the Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org. In March 2020, Iban became a Certified Vaadin 14 Developer, also from Vaadin. Most recently, in August 2022, they earned the SAFe 5 Practitioner Certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
