Director of Collections at FinFit

As the Director of Collections, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of the collections department within our organization.  You will play a critical role in developing strategies to optimize the collection process and manage the implementation and execution of those strategies.  This position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of collections best practices.      The right candidate will possess a highly empathetic approach when dealing with customers facing financial challenges.  Understanding the diverse circumstances that can lead to financial hardship and approaching each interaction with sensitivity is crucial in the approach to collections.  This key attribute will contribute to building positive customer relationships and supporting the overall success of the company.     

Qualifications We Value

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within collections, with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Strong knowledge of collections laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Naturally curious approach to data with the ability to translate analysis into actionable plans.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the collections department to achieve organizational goals.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of collection strategies.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the collections team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Establish and enforce effective collections policies and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing collections activities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in collections technology and evaluate and implement technological solutions to enhance collections processes.
  • Generate regular reporting on collections performance and present findings to senior management.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and other vendors.
