Ekan Subramanian has a strong and diverse work experience spanning several positions and companies.
Ekan began their career as a Software Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services in 1994. Ekan then moved on to work as a Technical Lead at COMSYS from 1997 to 2001.
Subramanian joined XPO in 2001 and held multiple positions during their tenure. Ekan started as a Project Manager & Technical Lead, where they were responsible for designing and managing a data center migration project, as well as implementing a new collections platform and leading the re-design of core billing and pricing systems. Ekan later transitioned into a Software Engineering Manager role, where they built and led high-performing teams and implemented a sales compensation program.
In 2016, Subramanian joined New Relic, Inc. as an Engineering Manager. Ekan played a pivotal role in migrating the core APM product from a monolith Ruby on Rails service to a microservices-based architecture and driving the foundation for a new UI platform. Ekan then progressed to roles such as Senior Engineering Manager, Director of Software Engineering, and Senior Director of Software Engineering, where they led various teams and initiatives, including growing the Kafka team and obtaining FEDRAMP certification.
Most recently, Subramanian joined Fingerprint as the VP of Engineering in 2023.
Ekan Subramanian obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore between 1989 and 1993. Prior to that, Ekan attended Jawahar School for High School, although the specific years were not provided.
