Courtney R. has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 2011 when they were an Entertainment Writer and Contracts Manager at The Daily Aztec. In 2012 they held an internship at the San Diego Natural History Museum, researching, cataloguing, and writing a biography on historical figure and naturalist Margaret Wood Bancroft. From 2012-2015, Courtney R. was the Social Media Marketing Strategist at Stitch Labs, where they were the first social media strategist and was responsible for managing their social media marketing strategy. From 2016-2017, Courtney R. was the Manager of Marketing and Content at SaaStr, where they doubled revenue YoY by owning the marketing campaign strategy of SaaStr Annual 2017. In 2017, Courtney R. took on the role of Senior Product Marketing Manager at Mattermark, where they owned company-wide product messaging repositioning and go-to-market strategies. Courtney then moved to Poll Everywhere in 2018, where they built the marketing team from one to seven and led the GTM marketing strategy. In 2021, Courtney R. became the Director of Marketing at HouseCanary and is currently the Senior Content Marketing Manager at Fingerprint, where they lead all content and community efforts and manages a team that includes content, community, and events marketing.

Courtney R. attended San Diego State University from 2011 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History.
