Kari Saarikoski

Kari Saarikoski has a long and diverse work experience. Kari started their career at Telia Company in 1986 as a System Developer and worked there until 1988. In 1988, they joined Finnair and held various roles throughout the years. Kari worked as a System Specialist from 1988 to 1990, Project Manager from January to May 1991, and IT and Development Manager from June 1991 to May 2000. From June to December 2000, they served as a Project Director. Kari then became the Director of eBusiness Development from January to July 2002 and later moved on to become the Chief Information Officer (CIO) from August 2002 to August 2017. Kari Saarikoski then took on the role of Digital Transformation Lead from September 2017 to February 2020 and served as the Head of Operations IT from February 2020 to February 2023. Currently, they hold the position of VP, Operations Solutions at Finnair starting from December 2022.

Kari Saarikoski has a comprehensive education history that spans over several years. From 1988 to 2006, they attended Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu, where they pursued a degree in MSc Economics with a focus on Management. Prior to that, from 1982 to 1996, they studied at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, where they obtained a degree in MSc Engineering, specializing in Information and Communications Technology.
