Jani Lukkarinen has extensive experience in research and policy evaluation, currently serving as a Leading Researcher at the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) since June 2016, focusing on sustainability transitions and societal dialogue regarding climate, energy, and biodiversity. Prior to this role, Jani held various positions at the University of Eastern Finland from January 2012 to December 2015, including Senior Researcher and Junior Researcher, participating in the Contested Bioenergy Governance project which involved case studies and policy analysis in the EU context. Jani holds a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Eastern Finland, obtained in 2011.
