Jyrki Viidanoja is a seasoned chemist with extensive experience in environmental analysis and analytical chemistry. Currently employed at the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) since November 2021, Jyrki focuses on environmental water, biota, and soil analysis, including examinations of PFAS, hormones, and oil. Previous roles include significant positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Neste, and PerkinElmer, where Jyrki led research and development efforts for advanced mass spectrometry systems, pioneered analytical techniques in the oil industry, and coordinated FDA/EU approved diagnostic products. Jyrki's academic journey includes a Licentiate degree in Analytical Chemistry and a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from the University of Helsinki, complemented by a robust history of research in various scientific institutions.
