Hilppa Gregow is an accomplished meteorologist with extensive experience at the Finnish Meteorological Institute since January 1994, currently serving as Head of Unit for both Weather and Climate Change Impact Research and the Climate Service Centre, as well as previously leading the Applied Climate Research group. Hilppa's work focuses on operational climate services and applied research to enhance risk management and adaptation strategies. Prior to this, Hilppa worked as a Weather Forecaster for Yle from January 1999 to December 2010, delivering forecasts across various media platforms. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. from the University of Eastern Finland, specializing in climate-related risks, and an M.Sc. in Meteorology from the University of Helsinki. Further professional development was completed at Aalto University.
