Patrick Eriksson is an experienced professional in oceanography, currently serving as Group Leader for Oceanographic Services and Ice Service at the Finnish Meteorological Institute since January 2009. Previously, Patrick worked as a Product Manager focused on monitoring and forecasting oceanographic services related to sea ice, water level, waves, and sea currents. Patrick's research background includes roles as an Ice Analyst at both the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the Finnish Institute of Marine Research, where responsibilities encompassed Arctic and Antarctic water mass and circulation studies, as well as oceanographic measurements in the Baltic Sea and Arctic regions. Patrick holds a Master of Science degree in Physical Oceanography from the University of Helsinki, completed in 2008, and attended Sibbo gymnasium from 1988 to 1991.
