Esa Niemi

Esa Niemi is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sports administration and management. As the owner of Niemi Services Ltd since January 1981, Esa has demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership. Engagements include serving as a board member of the Finnish Olympic Committee since November 2020 and as president of the Finnish Judo Association since January 2021. Additionally, Esa has held the role of commissioner for the International Judo Federation since January 2015 and previously served as chairman of the board at Suomen Liikemiesyhdistys from March 2016 to March 2019. Notably, Esa acted as campaign manager during the parliamentary elections in 2015 and was president of the Finnish Judo Association from 2012 to 2015.
