Adam Wasserman

Adam Wasserman has a diverse work experience, starting in 1997 as a Law Clerk for Judge Franklin S. Van Antwerpen. Adam then worked as an Associate at Debevoise & Plimpton from 1998 to 2000. Afterwards, they became an Associate at Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman from 2000 to 2004, where they served as trial counsel in a high-profile federal criminal trial. Wasserman joined Dechert LLP in 2005, first as an Associate and eventually becoming a White Collar and Securities Litigation Partner. At Dechert LLP, they represented various clients in white collar criminal defense matters, SEC investigations, and complex commercial litigation. In 2014, Wasserman joined the New York Stock Exchange as the Head of Enforcement, where they played a key role in rebuilding and transforming the market regulation program. Adam managed a team responsible for prosecuting securities law violations and ensuring the safety and fairness of the NYSE's exchanges. In 2022, Wasserman took on the role of Managing Member at August Way Law and Consulting PLLC, a boutique law and consulting firm focused on financial services companies. Additionally, they also became the Executive Director at Finpublica in the same year.

Adam Wasserman obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Harvard Law School, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Public Policy Analysis and Psychology at Pomona College, where they attended from 1990 to 1994.
