Caron Zhao

Caron Zhao has an extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.

Caron began their career in 2002 as a Software Engineer at Hygrand Electronic Equipment Co., Ltd., where they designed and implemented real-time service and management systems. From 2004 to 2005, they worked as a Technical Manager at Newtone Communication Co., Ltd., leading the development of various projects, including IVR systems and WAP systems.

In 2005, Caron joined the Eastman Kodak Company as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented the Kodak GCRIS 2.0 system and Kodak Ubiquitous Printing systems.

In 2006, they moved to HP, serving in several roles, including Software Architect and Senior Platform Engineering Manager & Software Architect. During their time at HP, Caron led the architecture and development for HP ITSM Products, collaborated with teams in the US and Israel, and led a team of over 300 engineers as Chief Architect of the ITSM BU.

In 2014, Caron joined StubHub as a Senior Lead Engineer, where they led projects such as the development of the payment institution system and the re-architecting of the buyer payments system. Caron quickly progressed to roles such as Platform Engineering Manager and Senior Engineering Manager, responsible for leading teams, delivering modernized services, and expanding their role to lead the entire engineering team in China.

In 2019, Caron also joined eBay as a Senior Engineering Manager, where they continued to lead platform, payments, trust and safety, and machine learning platform teams.

Lastly, Caron currently holds the role of CTO at Finture, a position they started in 2023.

Throughout their career, Caron has displayed strong leadership and technical skills, leading large teams, delivering projects on time, and modernizing critical domains with the use of modern tech stacks.

Caron Zhao holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The specific duration of this educational experience is not provided.
