John Davey is an accomplished bioinformatician with a robust background in genome analysis and speciation genomics. Since March 2021, John has served as Principal Bioinformatician and Bioinformatics Team Leader at Fios Genomics, following a tenure at the University of York from November 2016 to February 2021 as a Bioinformatician. Prior to this, John worked as a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, specializing in genome assembly and analysis for Heliconius butterflies. John's earlier experience includes a postdoctoral role at the University of Edinburgh, where bioinformatic analysis was conducted on RAD Sequencing data across various projects. John holds a Ph.D. in Neuroinformatics from the University of Edinburgh.
