Piet Steel

Piet Steel is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public affairs and international relations. Currently serving as a Special Advisor at FIPRA Public Affairs and a Board Director for Special Olympics International, Inc., Piet Steel also holds the position of Vice President at the Belgian Polar Secretariat. Active in various organizations, Piet Steel is a member of the International Advisory Council for AECA, an Honorary Consul General of Japan for Flanders at the Embassy of Japan in Belgium, and the Honorary Chairman of the Belgium Hong Kong Society. Previous roles include board member for Special Olympics, Inc. in the U.S. and President of Special Olympics Belgium. Piet Steel’s corporate experience includes senior roles at Toyota Motor Europe and Solvay SA/NV, emphasizing external affairs and public relations. Piet Steel graduated with a Licenciaat in Law from Rijksuniversiteit Gent.
