Thomas Harre

Thomas Harre is an experienced Community Risk Manager at Fire and Emergency NZ, responsible for overseeing service delivery in risk reduction, readiness, response, and recovery across the District since July 2017. Key achievements include leadership in risk reduction and community readiness, resource management, and fostering relationships with partners and stakeholders. Previously, Thomas served as Principal Rural Fire Officer, managing operational performance and budgets for rural fire in Auckland, and held several roles at Auckland Council, including Senior Land Management Risk Assessment Policy Advisor, where contributions included developing fire reduction policies and establishing community-based risk management plans. Thomas also has experience as Emergency Management Advisor and Pollution Response Officer, along with foundational roles in customer service. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Science from The University of Auckland.
