Here’s the bit about the opportunity:

The finance team is looking for someone passionate about technology with a roll-up-their-sleeves mentality to join our global team. You’ll play a crucial role in driving financial excellence, leveraging your expertise to analyse intricate statements and provide invaluable insights that fuel Fireblocks’ success. You will play a vital role in our financial operations, handling daily accounting tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy. Your insights will be instrumental in driving our business forward.

You’ll be:

  • Manage all bookkeeping aspects for Singapore and Australian entities.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and processes in compliance with company standards and GAAP.
  • Manage all activities related to Accounts Payable – create new vendors, process vendor invoices, approval flow, prepare vendor payments, prepare schedules for accruals and prepayments, AP reconciliation, and maintain the GL accurately, completely, and up to date.
  • Conduct daily banking activities, bank reconciliation, and credit card reconciliation.
  • Review and process expense reimbursements and travel reports.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, cut-off journals, and analytical reviews.
  • Manage intercompany entries and reconciliations.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts, audit by External Auditors, and ensuring all regulatory requirements are complied with, including filing of accounts and returns and other government requirements as and when required.
  • Prepare annual tax information and quarterly GST/VAT returns.
  • As required, liaise with vendors, overseas entities, overseas team members, other departments, and any other third party.
  • Contribute to developing new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Handle ad hoc accounting projects as needed.

You’ll bring:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or other related.
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment.
  • NetSuite working experience.
  • GAAP proficient
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Global Understanding of Tax Authorities and VAT/GST reporting guidelines in Singapore and Australia,
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with people across different cultures.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond expectations.

We’d love for you to have financial services, fintech, blockchain, cybersecurity, or crypto industry experience, but that is not a requirement. We have a comprehensive onboarding and training program for all new employees.
