Brandon Delannoy

Propulsion Design Engineer II at Firehawk Aerospace

Brandon Delannoy has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Structural Analysis Engineer II at Firehawk Aerospace since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Propulsion Engineer I at Firehawk Aerospace from March 2021 to October 2022.

Before joining Firehawk Aerospace, Brandon worked as a CPP-JPL CubeSTOP Thermal Systems Research and Design Intern at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from May 2020 to February 2021. During this internship, they were involved in a project funded by CATIE/AFRL, partnered with NASA's JPL, where they worked on developing additive manufactured near net form CubeSats for on-orbit demonstrations of low TRL thermal control technologies. Brandon was a member of the thermal design team responsible for detailed design and ground testing of the satellite's thermal systems.

In addition, Brandon was the Lead Thermal and Structural Design Engineer of the winning team in the international AIAA Lunar Base Camp Design Competition in 2020. Brandon designed the active thermal control systems and lightweight structures of proposed lunar landers and habitats for two separate architectures.

Furthermore, Brandon served as the Lead Systems Engineer for CPP's SpaceX Hyperloop Competition Team. From April 2019 to May 2020, they led the Systems Engineering team in decomposing SpaceX's primary requirements and designed and scheduled all sub-system verification testing for compliance to compete in the 2020 SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition at SpaceX headquarters.

Before entering the aerospace industry, Brandon worked as a Distribution Center Associate at Grainger from September 2008 to February 2016. Brandon also served as a Race Director at Pole Position Raceway from February 2007 to September 2008.

Overall, Brandon Delannoy has gained experience in aerospace engineering, thermal system design, structural analysis, systems engineering, and project management throughout their career.

Brandon Delannoy attended California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 2017 to 2020, where they pursued a degree in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in Astronautical.
