Deric Walintukan

Deric Walintukan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Deric began their career at Sunny Hills-Palladium Management Co., where they served as a Property Manager/Administrative Assistant, handling tasks such as acquiring prospects, mass marketing, collections, vendor coordination, and addressing maintenance issues. Following this, they joined Pimovi Co., a software startup, as a Software Engineer, gaining experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, MySQL, Apache, LAMP servers, and Amazon AWS service.

In 2014, Deric joined LovelUp as an Android & iOS Software Developer, responsible for the development of both Android and iOS apps from start to finish. Deric single-handedly built the Android app within a span of six months. After that, they joined Edmodo as an Android Engineer II, actively contributing to the development of the app's redesigned look. Their responsibilities included code reviews, mentoring junior developers, coordinating architecture design with backend developers, and deploying releases on Google Play.

Deric's career took a new turn in 2017 when they joined Bodhi Prediction Market. Initially, they served as the Lead Smart Contract Developer/Full Stack Developer, writing all Ethereum Smart Contracts for the market and managing them on the QTUM blockchain. Deric later ascended to the position of Chief Technology Officer, handling the planning of future developments, reworking code infrastructure, managing the engineering team, implementing new technologies and best practices, and developing the entire frontend, backend, and infrastructure stacks. Additionally, they forked the Ethereum blockchain (Geth) and modified it to meet the private chain's requirements.

Currently, Deric works at Firework as a Senior Engineering Manager. Deric previously held the position of Engineering Manager and Senior Full Stack Engineer at the same company. Specific details regarding their responsibilities and achievements in these roles are not provided.

Deric Walintukan attended Cal State Fullerton, College of Business and Economics from 2007 to 2011. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems.
