Valentina Valmacco

Valentina Valmacco is a Research Scientist and Lab Head at Firmenich since January 2017, specializing in Corporate R&D with a focus on Material Science. Previously, Valentina served as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Université de Genève from January 2012 to September 2016, where noteworthy research included exploring forces between silica particles in various solutions and studying the effects of heat treatment on silica surfaces. Valentina's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Surface and Colloid Science from the University of Geneva and a Master's Degree in Chemical Sciences from Università degli Studi di Milano. Additionally, Valentina gained international experience through a research placement at the Ian Wark Research Institute in Australia and has engaged in educational roles, including guiding visitors at the National Museum of Science and Technology "Leonardo da Vinci."
