Blake Shotwell

Blake Shotwell is an experienced audit professional currently serving as Audit Director at First Citizens Bank since May 2023. Prior to this role, Blake held the position of Audit Director at Truist from January 2019 to May 2023 and at BB&T from July 2009 to May 2023, where Blake also worked as Senior Audit Project Manager and Audit Project Manager from 2005 to 2009. Earlier in the career, Blake gained valuable experience at Ingersoll Rand as a Financial Analyst and Cost Accountant from 2001 to 2005, and as a Staff Auditor at Deloitte from 2000 to 2001. Blake holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University.
